NBA schedule: Reformed Lakers make preseason debut, minus Dwight Howard

The new look Los Angeles Lakers will make their preseason debut on Sunday, but without their prized offseason acquisition in big man Dwight Howard

Kobe Bryant will lead his revamped Los Angeles Lakers team in their preseason debut against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, highlighting one of Sunday's five preseason games.

The Lakers will take on the young Warriors squad at 10 p.m ET. Sunday from the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, Calif. While the reformed Lakers will be making their preseason debut on Sunday, they will need to do it without their prized offseason acquisition in center Dwight Howard, who is still recovering from back surgery.

Other games on the Sunday schedule include the New Orleans Hornets hosting the Orlando Magic at 2:30 p.m ET from Mexico City. The game can be seen on NBA TV. No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis will be making his debut for the team, while former Magic power forward Ryan Anderson will be facing his former team for the first time since being dealt in a sign-and-trade.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks will host the defending NBA champion Miami Heat at 2 p.m. ET from Philips Arena and the Washington Wizards will visit the Time Warner Cable Arena in North Carolina to face the Charlotte Bobcats at 1 p.m. ET.

Last but not least, the Boston Celtics will play their second game in three days on the road, as the team takes on EA7 Emporio Armani Milano in Milan, Italy. The game can also be seen on NBA TV at noon ET.
